Come and spend a day with Melbourne-based chef Matt Wilkinson and soak up his passion and knowledge for fresh, seasonal and local produce.
Matt will accompany us as we journey through the Noosa and Sunshine Coast Hinterland to discover unique produce at two boutique farms.
The first stop takes us into the hills to The Falls Farm, where a delicious morning tea will be followed by a stroll through the market gardens to harvest some of the finishing touches for lunch.
With our freshly harvested haul, we head on over to Hinterland Feijoas for a bespoke guided farm tour followed by a leisurely 2-course lunch with matched wine.
Wine will be matched and provided by Mr. Riggs Wine Co. Founded in 2001 by winemaker Ben Riggs, whose winemaking philosophy is to make unpretentious wines that express the essence of the vineyard and the regions terroir, in a style that Ben enjoys drinking; big, rich and complex, but also with finesses, texture and elegance. Ben sources regional parcels of fruit from McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Adelaide Hills and the Coonawarra.
